Description
THE GIFT Exploring Advent in Luke 1-2 is an 5-week early childhood curriculum taking kids on a journey through the stories of Luke 1 and 2! Each week focuses in on aspects of who God is and what God has done, is doing, and will do one day through the stories of Zechariah in the Temple, Mary & the Angel, Mary & Elizabeth, John the Baptist is Born, and Jesus is Born. Along the way, the kids in your ministry will discover so much about Jesus this Advent season with the crafts, activities, games, imaginative play, and more all contained in this five week curriculum perfect for early childhood kids!
This curriculum is adaptable to larger groups or smaller groups. You can use each lesson in a Large Group / Small Group format or all together in one room! Each week contains an Imaginative Play Activity, a Worship in Song + Prayer Guide, a Bible Story Script, an Activity, a Craft, a Memory Verse Activity, and all the printables you’ll need! This download includes adaptations for both kids ages 2-3 years old and 4-5 years old. The 2-3 year old adaptations use simpler sentences and language as well as a less-messy craft!
Each week also follows the traditional Advent themes of Hope, Peace, Joy, Love, and Christ to follow along with the season of Advent.

Week 1: The Gift of Hope: God Takes Care of Us! (Zechariah in the Temple, Luke 1:1-25)
- Week 2: The Gift of Peace: God is Always With Us! (Mary & the Angel, Luke 1:26-38)
- Week 3: The Gift of Joy: We Praise God With Joy! (Mary & Elizabeth, Luke 1:39-56)
- Week 4: The Gift of Love: God Gives Us Love! (John the Baptist is Born, Luke 1:57-80)
- Week 5: The Gift of Jesus: Jesus is God’s Gift to Us! (Jesus is Born, Luke 2:1-20)
